Educational Advising CenterThe Center belongs to a network of educational advising centers affiliated with the U.S. Department of State and provides accurate, unbiased information about all accredited U.S. higher education institutions. The Educational Advising Center (EAC) is a United States Government Sponsored U. S. Education Information Center (EAC) designed to meet the informational needs of Ukrainians interested in international education and exchange opportunities, especially as these concern the United States of America. The Center features various resource materials and collections of college handbooks and informational guides to US colleges and universities. The Center is open to students, scholars, researches and teachers. Through a grant from The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the United States Department of State, The American Councils for International Education: ACTR/ACCELS administers the center, working closely with the Public Affairs Section of the U. S. Embassy in Ukraine. The EAC supports those Educational Institutions of Ukraine who would like to receive information about international opportunities. The center maintains mailing and e-mail lists of contacts who receive information about educational opportunities abroad on a regular basis. There is also information about other advising centers and individuals who act as independent advisers around Ukraine. Distance Advising in also available for the general public by mail or e-mail. Informational-registration bulletins for the Standardized tests of the Educational Testing Services (ETS) are available at the Center.
The EAC Library features directories and CD's of educational institutions and informational books on the application process and financial aid, reference manuals on searching for jobs, opening a business or writing a grant proposal, college and university catalogues from the US and other countries and preparation manuals and computer programs for the standardized ETS tests. The Library is open to all. Library users should apply for a membership card. An application may be obtained from the assistants at the center.
