American Councils Internship Program

Students who know English and are interested in gaining skills in a highly professional environment are encouraged to apply to the Internship Program at American Councils. Students will have the opportunity to work side by side with American Councils employees learning to work in a business environment. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in trainings and other events organized by American Councils.

American Councils will host up to 3 interns semi-annually. Internships are on a volunteer basis and run from January through June and July through December. Interns will be trained.

The following Internship Positions are available:

Activities Logistics Assistant
- assist with everyday activities of American Councils offices
- contact potential participants of events organized by American Councils
- prepare and post announcements about activites of American Councils

Ideal for those planning a profession in the NGO and/or trainings sphere.

Web-Site Development Assistant
- assist with regular updates onto the web-site
- find web-based opportunities for the promotion of American Councils offices

Ideal for those interested in web-site administration.

Public Relations Assistant
- assist with preparing information about American Councils
- maintain a database of media contacts
- communicate regularly with media venues
- track information about American Councils in the media

Ideal for those planning a profession in public relations.

July ? December Term
Deadline: May 31
Training: Last week of June or first week of July
